This is my second attempt this week of a strictly abstract painting style. I wanted to record the sunrise I witnessed the other day as I crossed the Pigeon River. The sun was rising above the horizon, yet still very low in the sky. I couldn't get the imagine out of my mind. It was very vivid and I didn't even have to photograph it to remember it. This is the result as I couldn't help but thinking how awesome it is to experience "A Brand New Day."
Being born and raised in Henderson, NV., just outside Las Vegas, and from the time I was a small child, I wanted to become an artist, but I never dreamed it would turn out the way it has. As I love to hunt, fish and explore the out-of-doors, and include many experiences in the field as part of my fine art subject matter, I have come to appreciate what Mother Nature has so magnificently pieced together for us to enjoy on a daily basis.
