Description

Ever since the re-introduction of the elk in the gorgeous Cataloochee Valley located just North of Cherokee, NC, the herd has been growing and flourishing. Every Fall in the Smokies, locals and tourists alike frequent the valley to view and listen to the sounds and actions of the elk during rut. Having spent 17 years in Colorado, it is nice to have familiar wildlife so close to where I currently live to enjoy and photograph.
