It has been 37 years since I have painted one of these beautiful, tropical flowers. The last one was done in watercolor ... this one is in oils. It sold before it had even left the easel. I prefer the macro look with a very short depth-of-field.
Being born and raised in Henderson, NV., just outside Las Vegas, and from the time I was a small child, I wanted to become an artist, but I never dreamed it would turn out the way it has. As I love to hunt, fish and explore the out-of-doors, and include many experiences in the field as part of my fine art subject matter, I have come to appreciate what Mother Nature has so magnificently pieced together for us to enjoy on a daily basis.
I live in Waynesville, NC. am a veteran fine artist, graphic designer/illustrator and photographer and spend my spare time fishing, panning for gold, tinkering in the shop, watching NASCAR, doing photography and spending time with family.
