Artist's Description
One of my favorite sensations to create with any subject matter is that of depth or distance. The fog that frequently lies in the Smoky Mountain valleys almost every morning here gives such a sense of depth, wonderment and peaceful serenity. The contrast that is perceived in the foreground verses the gradual tonal changes from foreground to background is virtually "Ansel Adams" in its perfection.
About Craig Burgwardt
Being born and raised in Henderson, NV., just outside Las Vegas, and from the time I was a small child, I wanted to become an artist, but I never dreamed it would turn out the way it has. As I love to hunt, fish, camp, hike and explore the out-of-doors, I include many experiences in the field as part of my fine art subject matter, I have come to appreciate what Mother Nature has so magnificently pieced together for us to enjoy on a daily basis. I live in Western North Carolina. I am a veteran fine artist, graphic designer/illustrator and photographer and spend my spare time fishing, panning for gold, tinkering in the shop, watching NASCAR, doing photography and shooting captivating video.
